Probably one of the most iconic classic BMW ever made. The E30. Before the e30 I had many hand me down cars, but none of it was what I wanted to drive. This was the first car I selected, and bought it for 3000 dollars back in 2004. I did not know at the time, but it would be a car that got me into all things motorhead related. It was also the car that I have made some life long friends from.
We had a car meet that lasted the better part of the 10 years I own the car. I started the car meet in College Park in 2005, and every Friday more and more people would come out to talk cars. We came from all different walk of life, from graphic designers, corporate, sales, mechanics, and some others. Sad to say when COVID hit, it was disbanded. Truth be told, I already left the meet up after my 2018-19 trip.
There was simply too many mods to list, I learned how to do upholstery as well as mechanical work. I learn where to buy raw materials and where to buy paint.
In 2017 I was rear ended, and then hit from the side in a parking lot. It happen within 6 month, I decided it was time to let her go, she was rusting a little on the rear wheel arches, and with two panel hit, there just is not enough reason to keep her.
This was her at her most glorious times, I will remember it fondly.
