Banff

Some of the most impressive nature I have ever seen.

I rode with the guy on the GS for quite a few days. We found different campsites along the way. The actual Cassiar highway, is very lackluster, both side of the road have tons of tree overgrowth, so for 90% of the time, you can not really see anything. However, the few times I did get a clearing, I had some of my favorite shots.

I arrived at couchsurfer K. Ruston’s house. he agree to host me. He is also a motorcycle safety instructor. Not only was he able to find me a tire to swap on, he also offered me to stay there for a few days. The tire in Canada are 2 times the price for the same thing versus the states. The more I travel, the more I realize how much nonsense politics and policies are in all these countries. I also got stun by a yellow jacket while riding. It hit the back of my collar on my jacket and then drop down my neck. The last time I had a yellow jacket sting, I have a generalize reaction after 2 weeks. I still have the scar to this day. So I research on the internet to use baking soda to to draw out the venom. It definitely worked, and catheterized that stun area. The morning before I left I saw some local horses running thorough his front yard.

Next stop after leaving, I went to the famous Ice Field parkway, and south to Banff. There was a huge storm that came across the glacier. Pretty impressive site. There was a posh hotel right in front of the glacier. I did not even bother asking how much it was, it was going to be insane tourist price. Found a good spot a little bits down the road. It is pretty cold around this area, so there is minimal mosquitos.

I headed to Banff the next day, incredible beautiful national park. There were many elks on the side of the road. I got pretty close for a photo. I had one final day before exiting Canada. Again I use the couchsurfer app. This couple are both health care professionals. They were both not home, just gave me the garage code and told me to make myself at home. Later they came home and cooked a meal for me and we chatted. The amount of good people in the world that ask for nothing in return is incredible.
